Scented Soy Wax
Dorset Coastal Candles use natural soy wax for a clean, even, long-lasting burn. To make the most of your candle always trim the wick to 3mm before lighting and keep it trimmed while burning. On the first burn you should allow the wax to melt from edge to edge of the jar to prevent wax from building up on the insides. To minimise the amount of wax left on the sides of your jar, burn your candle for approximately 3 hours at a time.
Amber Glass
Each candle is lovingly hand poured into a lidded amber glass jar. Perfect for keeping your candle dust free between burns and easily reused as a storage container on completion.
Makes Scents
After smelling the same scent for more than around 15 minutes, your nose and olfactory system become less sensitive, making it seem like the scent from your candle is gone.
For scents that stand out more, use a different smelling candle in different areas of your home, so your nose can be stimulated again when you walk from room to room.
Scents & Memory
Those with full olfactory function may be able to think of smells that evoke particular memories. This can often happen spontaneously, with a smell acting as a trigger in recalling a long-forgotten event or experience.
In addition to being the sense most closely linked to memory, smell is also highly emotive.
